Donate to the Kalkaska Library

Thank you for supporting the Kalkaska library! We believe in the power of community and we are driven to make Kalkaska County more vibrant for generations to come. By supporting culture, promoting personal growth and encouraging civic participation, we help enrich lives in our region. We strive to collaborate, to nurture, to thrive— together.

The Library’s day-to-day operations are funded by a modest public millage, some financial aid from the State, and a portion of local penal fines. But it’s the support from our community that allows us to fully grow. Additional monies from grants and your generous donations enrich our traditional sources of funding, resulting in expanded programs and services for our patrons.

TAX DEDUCTIONS

Donations to the Library qualify for a tax deduction. IRS publication 526 states that contributions to a federal, state or local government for a public purpose are tax deductible. The Library is a local government entity and your contribution will be used for the purpose of operating the Library or the construction of a new library building. Every person’s tax situation is different, however, so we recommend you consult with your tax advisor.
